ENVIRONTEC FA Series Flare was firstly designed by ENTEC in Austria (since 1992). The first application was simple open flare for agricultural projects. More complicated technologies have been developed for enclosed flare. Due to our outstanding market performance in Europe and China, Environtec was invited by ISO / TC255 / WG2 working group to provide expert advice in order to develop an ISO standard for biogas flare.
Emergency Flare (FAII ):In case of excessive biogas, or equipment malfunction or during maintenance period, an emergency flare is always necessary.
Continuous Burning (FA III):In some cases, the flare is the only way to dispose and burn down all biogas. The flare is then running 24 hours a day, 365 days a year without interruption. FAIII type is so designed with high quality and many alternatives.
Landfill Flare (FAIV):Landfill flare, or so called High-Pressure flare is necessary for odor removal and to avoid safety hazard. A biogas booster is necessary to draw the gas and increase the pressure. The flare is burning with higher temperature.
FAII Emergency Flare consists of combustion chamber, injector nozzle, supporting structures, ignition devices, flame arrestor, main control valve, condensate drainage, PLC control board and other components.
FAIII Continuous Burning Flare uses a large enclosed structure suitable for non-stop combustion. The flare is equipped with additional pilot burner, built-in ceramic fiber, more complicated injectors, and with many alternatives.
FAIV Landfill Flare , or so called high pressure flare, is equipped with a biogas booster to increase the inlet pressure to i.e. 10Kpa . Furthermore, the flare can be designed with skid-mounted type where the flare body, booster, piping, valves, instrument and control units can be pre-installed as a complete set.
The material of Flare body is 304 stainless steel and Combustion Chamber is made of double-deck stainless steel or ceramic fiber for heat insulation.
The control unit consists of a Siemens PLC S7-1200 which realizes the function of automatic control via gas holder level signal, pipe pressure signal, remote control signal and manual control signal. The operating signals i.e. operating, malfunction, valve open etc., can be transferred to upper level control station.
A standard PLC ignition command means 5 times ignition attempts. In a normal combustion process, if the flame distinguishes occasionally, the flare can automatically recognize and start the next ignition cycle immediately. A malfunction signal is given after failure of 5 times ignition attempts. Malfunction status can be reset on site or via remote control.
